I heard this a lot when I was visiting Japan last year! Gear used: - several instances of Nord Electro 6 for the arpeggio - several instances of Sequential Prophet 5 for the chords - liberal amounts of reverb & bitcrushing for a realistic train station sound ;)

Dialing in the bass sound was easier than expected: Pretty much all the synth sounds and the bass lines are quite straightforward ... the arrangement and production quality is perfection, though! This one has been a long time in the making ... but I just had to finish it while it's still summer! Gear used: Minimoog (main bass and lead), Nord Electro for the piano, Juno 60 for strings, Prophet Rev2 for various funky organs and also 2 x bass during the breakdown part, quite a few guitar tracks and a touch of bass guitar. Drums, editing and mixing done in Ableton live.

I don't even know if there's any synth bass in the original or if it is bass guitar only, but the song just called for a Minimoogification. Gear used: pretty much what you see in the video ... Minimoog for the bass, Nord Electro for the piano and e-piano, some guitar tracks on top of that. Drums, editing, mixing done in Ableton Live.

Thank you for this!!! I've been a Kashif fan since the early 80s. Even before he released his first album. I've been obsessed with his signature sound. Finding this was a true treasure. It's good to see others appreciate his music. Kashif was so underrated.
Thank you for the kind words ... I really have to make another Kashif cover! I am a huge fan of his sound and his production work (I also did an Evelyn Champagne King cover), but his first solo album is my absolute favorite!
